Nukequiz 3.0.0 Released

We have released the Nukequiz version 3.0.0 to all registered users. This module has been tested on various versions of Nuke form 7.5 upwards, together with other forks (see main page)
The module comes complete with one quiz containing 20 questions to get you started and includes docs for installation and shows, some of the functions included. Will allow you to import questions, export them and allows for different types of questions with images if required or even sound files.

Index Module

In some respects, the index - home page is the most important page of a web site. Visitors who arrive at a slow-loading or poorly-designed not informative index page may not view the rest of the site. Worse yet, they might decide to avoid the site in the future. Generally, home pages should be fast-loading and intuitive, although that is often easier said than done. If you tired of the same News module as your default index home page with news in the middle and blocks on the sides there is an alternative - Index module.

Original eye theme from eye.cc. demo Original phpnuke themes - Milo and Karate themes also relased with fixes and updates. I have to cleanup server after few hackers attacks from mexico isp using free service home.ro (go.ro) . Attacks were on eweather website using unsecure hamweather php script. Everything is secure now, isp ip's traced, but home.ro is still harboring hackers on their servers.

Index module and rss news will be relased sometimes this week.

Index Module, Themes and rssNews

Final testing done on Index module and it will be relased next Monday. Upcoming modules : rssNews & rss almost ready. All News themes will be upgraded to new version 2.0 with additional social bookmarks option and few other changes. I will also relase this weekend fixed/corrected Milo & Karate themes originally distributed with phpnuke 8.0/8.1.

PHP-Nuke 8.1 Released

PHP-Nuke version 8.1 has been released and includes several security fixes, added more variables check on few modules, added BB2Nuke forums 2.0.21, added AutoTheme GPL edition, fixed several bugs in Topics module, Preferences administration system has been totaly re-written and reorganized, added referers in abridge or unabridge modes, added function to let administrators decide if the users can change the theme or not and many more little but important details focused on security.

Index module & News themes

News themes and Index module will be relased as soon as I test everything for both phpNuke 7.9 & 8.0 . I will also relase new 2.0 ver. News themes with few cosmetic changes, fixed bugs, updated css file for forums and extra graphics with more code hacks inside theme.php file. Final testing almost done for 8.0 , 7.9 version is comming this week.

.htaccess Filtering

There are several ways to secure your phpNuke website. You can use addons like NukeSentinel, NukeCops security advise forum or .htaccess filtering. The simplest way to do this is .htaccess where you can filter some known bots so they will never gain access to your site, ban ip's, and spam bots (majority of attack attempts originate from scripts using a tool called libwww-perl).I analyze several web server logs each day and I put together several lines in .htaccess to block many of those script-kiddies from gaining access to my site.
