Summary: Doesn't even show Elmo on the potty
Comment: My 18-month daughter loves pressing the buttons to make the sounds, but I agree that it doesn't work for potty-training because it doesn't even show Elmo on the potty at all. I can't say to her, "See, this is how Elmo sits on the potty when he needs to go. Can you do it too?" For those who find the noise too loud, try putting a sticker over the speaker, and it'd decrease the volume quite a bit.

My son enjoys the book 'Potty Time with Elmo.' It has many fun sounds and it's a great book to read to little ones who are learning to potty!

Comment: My daughter is a big Elmo fan and every few days she'll want to read this. I can't say it's made a huge difference in her training, though--the Elmo Potty DVD is much better and has definitely made a difference.
This book is OK for a few bucks, but it's not going to make or break your potty training success. And yes, the sounds are really loud. If those types of noises/toys irritate you then skip this one.
