Summary: For Every Day of Every Year
Comment: Many envision Christmas when they hear Messiah spoken in reference to Handel's classical craftsmanship. I, personally, envision all year round listening rapture.

Handel's composition details various epics of Christ's life--His birth, ministry, crucifixion, resurrection and eventual Messianic millennial rule. You behold through Handel's orchestrated psalms, the Old Testament prophesies concerning Messiah encompassed with the New Testament fulfillments.

Handel's Messiah is remarkable as it is the inspired Scripture set to orchestration. Messiah is absent of Handel's words; only holding his masterful musical scores.

When you insert these CDs, Biblical truths arise in illustrious, serenading ecstasy. You immediately recognize, The London Philharmonic is unequaled in this production. There is no need to search further for the unsurpassed.

Here are all the words for easy tracking:

Revelation 11:15 15. . . the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ: and He shall reign for ever and ever. Revelation 19:16 16. . . . KING OF KINGS, LORD OF LORDS. I know that my redeemer liveth, and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: and though worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God. For now is Christ risen from the dead, the first fruits of them that sleep. [Job 19:25-26; I Corinthians 15:20] Since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. [I Corinthians 15:21-22] Behold, I tell you a mystery: we shall not sleep, but we shall all be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. The trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. [I Corinthians 15:51-53] Then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. [I Corinthians 15:54] Death, where is thy sting? O Grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. [I Corinthians 15:55-56. But thanks be to God who giveth us the victory, through our Lord Jesus Christ. [I Corinthians 15:57] If God be for us, who can be against us? Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth, who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather that is risen again, who is at the right hand of God, who makes intercessions for us. [Romans 8:31, 33-34] Worthy is the lamb that was slain, and hath redeemed us to God by his blood, to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. Blessing and honour, glory and power be unto Him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb, for ever and ever. [Revelation 5:12-13] Amen chorus.

Summary: Messiah
Comment: A perfect rendition of Messiah. The Christmas season is not complete without hearing Messiah at least 2 or 3 times. Since Handel adopted England as home, it seems fitting to hear his work performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra.

Comment: The Messiah is an old classic and you can't get any better than Mr. Handel. But if you are not the type for it then you might not like it. Otherwise it is excellent. The various chorus numbers are outstanding to listen to.

Comment: One of the best pieces of music I have ever listened to, and have for many years. I have not listened to different orchestra's, performers, etc., but this is tops. Even with other performers, it must be good. Cannot think who would not be inspired by this music. Great.
