Customer Rating: Summary: A really bad one Comment: The UPS always shut down my computer in 30 seconds after power failure, but the battary level is above 70 %. The tech sopport engineer gave me nothing helpful, and just asked me to replace it.
Do not buy productions from Belkin again.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great UPS for a great price! Comment: I've had this UPS for several months now. It has survived a major blackout, several short blackouts, several brownouts, and several tests without any problems. A deep battery test (that runs on battery power until the battery starts to go weak) will run my computer/monitor for about 25 minutes which is about 10-15 minutes better than my old 650VA UPS. (The listed backup times on ALL UPS models are based on a setup that uses far less power than most modern systems so you can never expect to get the listed backup time.) The software than comes with the UPS gives you very details info on the current load, battery strength, power conditions ETC. It also records extended statistics and logs. If you are using this UPS in an office environment, you can set it up to send power alerts to another computer on the network. It has both a USB and Serial interface so this model will work for you no matter what type of connection you have available. The unit also has a surge supressor for your telephone line. If you were to buy an APC unit with these specs you could expect to pay quite a bit more than this unit cost. This unit will give you the same performance at a much better price. I have several clients that also use various Belkin UPSs and all are very satisfied with them. Another fine product by Belkin.
Customer Rating: Summary: No Problems with test... Comment: I tried the 10 second test and it worked with no problems. You should always try this test because you certainly don't want to find out you have a problem when you need it to work.I have a mid size system (Athalon 2400+ and 19" monitor) and thought I could get away with a smaller UPS. I tried 350va, then 500, and then even a 725. None of them could handle my midlevel power requirements. Those smaller units are a thing of the past with the larger systems of the day. I also tried different brands and this Belkins unit provided the best reporting tools, most features, and USB or serial port connection (while CyberPower comes with a serial to USB adapter it did not work on my system). Also, despite what it says on the box and manual the Bulldog software (Belkin) DOES a desirable Save-As for open files but like CyberPower's software can only save files when the application supports the normal Save-as closing instructions (Microsoft style). At the current price of $$$$ (although shipping will kill you unless you have a big order) its the best deal out there in price and performance.
