Comment: Wish I had read these reviews before -- but here we go. The drive does not include any setup materials, instructions or software. That means if your computer is not functioning you will need to find another computer to download their software. When I called Western Digital the person I spoke to was not helpful and could care less. If you are dealing with a crashed computer, I would not recommend this product or this company.

Comment: I have had good success with the several Western Digital hard drives purchased and installed in my computers. I recently purchased a Seagate drive, and while it may be dependable, I found that it scores lower than my Western Digital drives for access speed.

Comment: Excellent value for money here - seen the same item elsewhere for around $119, so this is one great deal. No frills - the HD and nothing but the HD (no cables or written matter included). I used it as a replacement drive - dropped it in, popped in the windows XP CD for a fresh o/s install, and was on my way.
