Summary: Good Keyboard Tray
Comment: Not quite office premium quality (plastic versus metal arm), but works great. Also, instructions state to mount 7/8 inch from edge of desk, may need to mount further in (sticks out about an inch). Also noticed that care needs to be taken when repositioning the tilt. Once unlocked, the keyboard tray falls loose, unlike my office one.

Summary: Love this Keyboard Platform
Comment: I have had this exact keyboard tray on my home computer desk for several years. When I needed a keyboard tray added to a new desk at work I was pleased to find this one. It's the best and the price is very good. Thank you.

Summary: the cheapest is usually not the best
Comment: I used this adjustable keyboard tray for about 9 months.

the main reason I give it such a negative review is the separate mouse tray. This mouse tray is attached via a post that acts like a big hinge. The mouse tray can rotate and go underneath the keyboard tray.

The main problems with this are that:
1) i never found a useful purpose for rotating the mouse pad underneath the keyboard tray.
2) the mouse tray loosened easily, and as you were trying to use it the tray would slide back and forth
3) being below the keyboard, the mouse was not in an ergonomic position
4) the gel pad that came with it came unstuck after a while
5) the mouse pad seems about 10% too small for mouse usage. While my mouse doesn't move much when I use it, the mouse frequently went to the edge, which was annoying. This might have been magnified by the fact that the mouse tray moves around too easily.

The mouse tray can be put on the left or the right depending on which hand you use.

I think the reason fellowes used this design is so that the product would fit in a smaller box.

Anyway, if you can't afford better, then go ahead and buy it. It is the cheapest.

If you are used to minor irritations, and inconvenience doesn't bother you, then again, go ahead and buy it.

But for those of you who can afford to take care of yourself, you should consider buying the kind where the keyboard and mouse fit on one flat surface. Kensington has one of these for $87 here on amazon, but I haven't tried it yet. This is similar to the kind they give everyone at the office where I work. And now I know why - because that kind is the better kind.

Summary: I love this keyboard tray...
Comment: I write software for a living and am typing all day. This keyboard tray is the best one I have found. It is very adjustable, includes support for a mouse, and is well made. It allows me to type with my arms at a downward slant and saves me from repetative stress problems.

I have purchased several of them for different places I have worked, and highly recommend it.

A couple of things to be aware of:

1. It is not incredibly easy to install, but once I got it mounted it is more sturdy than anything else I have found.

2. If you have a large keyboard with a dedicated number pad, you may want to mount the keyboard tray off center so that the center of your letters is centered on your desk.

3. The keyboard tray comes with wrist pads for the mouse and keyboard that stick on with double sided tape. The pad eventually breaks up and flakes away. Don't even bother attaching it. Best ergonomic practices dictate that you don't wrest your wrist on anything while you are typing anyway.

Summary: Big Help
Comment: I am in the waiting stage for the delivery of my second unit. Most likely the reason I had to get the second one is that the shelf has been positioned so that the shelf actually rests on my knees unless I stick my feet straight out in front of me. Resting on my knees has no doubt led to some unnecessary upward pushing and at times that pushing has been first one side and then the other. Even though I broke the one I am still using, I was able to get it back into shape enough to use until the new unit arrives. The 30 some percent discount on the price of the new one probably had something to do with me ordering it on New Year's Eve.
