Summary: Good features, hard to set
Comment: As noted, this watch has a very good set of features. The display is easy to read in all modes. The day and date appear on the time screen, which I think is a plus. The watch is set like most other Timexes, easily and intuitively. BUT the set buttons are very small, very hard, require a lot of pressure, and hurt to press.

Summary: Good fitness watch
Comment: I got this watch at a PX for about $20. It seems to have gone up in price. I lose or break watches a lot so I need something that isn't too expensive (nothing above $40). I also work out a lot so I need a band that is plastic or something that can be washed off without having to dry it out (and metal just doesn't work). I hate bands that are leather or cloth because they begin to stink after working out in them for a while. I also need something that is tough and I don't like to spend more than a second to see what the time and date is. So analog hand watches are out and so are watches where you have to push a button in order to figure out what the day and month is. I also want a watch that has big characters because I wear glasses and sometims take them off when I workout because they fog up. Finally, it has to have a countdown timer, a chronograph, at least a couple of LOUD alarms, and at least two adjustable time zones because I am in the military and go overseas often. This watch fits all that, plus what really sets it apart is that it is extremely thin compared to most workout watches. That is a bigger advantage than you would think because having a thicker watch gets in the way of ropes and tight spaces. The only draw backs to this watch is that the band has broken on me before, and that it's face isn't more scratch resistant. But for the functionality and price, it's hard to beat.

Summary: Nice Watch
Comment: I've been a user of this watch since 93. It may not have all the latest and greatest functions, but what it does have is very useful.
Stopwatch with lap counter, a countdown feature, and two timezones. It's also waterproof up to 100 meters. The new watches have the indiglo thing, (mine had that tiny little lightbulb on the left that never quite lit up the whole screen).

On some watches I've seen, setting the time, alarm, etc, have been very frustrating, trying to find the right combination of buttons to change things. This watch is very simple. Hold the 'set' button for a couple seconds until it starts blinking, then cycle through with 'mode' All changes are instantaneous. All the buttons are labled too.

The only real beef I have is the watchband. The belt loop seems rather fragile. I've gone through several of these, and that little thing insists on breaking. Otherwise the watch is durable. I've lost count of all the times I've banged it hard against something, and it lived. The covering is all scraped up, and the buttons are starting to corrode after all these years, but the thing still works. That's far more than enough to make me a repeat customer.

At the time of this review, Amazon has these listed for $37.99 before the "discount". You can pick this up at Kmart or Walmart for $29
