The OXO Smooth Edge Can Opener cuts on the side of the can, below the edge - leaving no sharp edges on a can or lid. The side-wind knob with non-slip, comfortable grip is easy to use. The durable cutting wheel doesn't touch the can contents, while the lid pliers allow no-touch lid removal. It's a safe, hygenic way to open large & small lids.

Comment: looks good.... could be quite a cudgel if you plan on having impromptu bilingual blood fests in your kitchen.
No doubt a metal can opener would server better in such a circumstance, but unless you're ron burgundy, by all means, purchase this.

Comment: This is a good can opener but takes a while to figure it out. Most everyone else in my family loses patience with it. If you stick to it and learn how to work it it is very nice.
