i have found that using cubes, and i have all sizes, beats the folder hands down. you may pack differently than i do, as there are a host of packing philosophers out there to whom one may subscribe, but i just find this Folder an awkward contraption. it forces one shape out of your clothing destined to go in it which is bad enough, but it also has a pretty high mass-to-volume ratio, meaning it weighs more than it should for the amount of clothing it can hold.
when forced to decide on what to keep in my overstuffed bag on a recent trip, i opted to let go of one of these Folders and i left it in the hotel room, accepting chaos in the bag instead.
its clumsiness and inefficiency, compared to other various packing cubes from Eagle Creek Eagle Creek Pack-It Half Cube (and others like it... LL Bean), have me rating it unfavorably. add a star because it is better than nothing, and it does a great job if all you have in your case is button-down shirts.

Comment: Having started a job with extensive traveling, I purchased this item hoping that it would allow me to pack dress shirts without getting them completely wrinkled. Thus far, the pack-it folder has exceeded my expectations in every way. I generally pack 5-6 shirts in it, and they all come out looking like they are freshly pressed. GET THE LARGER ONE IF YOU NEED TO PACK MORE. Customer Rating: Summary: Well worth the cash Comment: I have been using the same folder for several years now and it has more than earned its value with me. After dozens of trips and way more abuse than I can excuse, this little gem is still in perfect shape. If you take a couple of minutes to fold your clothes with care when you place them in here, you can arrive at your destination with minimal wrinkles. I've used this thing to travel overseas out of my backpack, to business meetings, two week excursions, and everywhere in between. I usually stuff more than the suggested amount of clothing in here and still find myself looking presentable. I love these things so much I often give them as gifts. Customer Rating: Summary: Great product... Don't be skeptical like I was Comment: Yes, I admit it... I was skeptical. I'm an auditor and have to dress well for my engagements. However, I'm also a cyclist and love to commute that way. I was looking for a way to get my nice clothes to the client (in a wrinkle free fashion) so I could change and still look good. This product actual works pretty well. I don't have that "hot off the presses" look when I walk into the office, but it's definitely good enough. The hard insert works great for a button-down shirt and a pair of slacks, and it fits well into a large backpack. At any rate, if you're a guy (or gal) with a similar problem, I highly reccomend it.
