Netgear WGR614 802.11g Wireless Router with 4-Port Switch - The amount of homes with high-speed Internet access and multiple computers is growing steadily. Wouldn't it be nice to share that high-speed Internet connection with all of the computers in your home? Wouldn't it be great to also share files between your computers? And wouldn't it be amazing if you could do all of that wirelessly!? Well you can, with this 802.11g Wireless Router. Just add optional 802.11g, or 802.11b, adapters to each computer, connect your modem, run through the easy installation process, and you're ready to go. It even supports the slower 802.11b wireless protocol for increased compatibility. VPN pass-through

Customer Rating: Summary: Good for the price Comment: I owned this (refurbished item) for 2 years without many problems. It was easy to set up and worked well with my Mac and other computers. My only real complaint was the lack of support for it. I usually had difficulty signing onto the Netgear site-it has different passwords/user names for different facets of the site. Netgear support does not respond to emails.
Netgear does have an extensive online support where I usually found my answers.
For $25 including s/h. I consider this worth the price and effort. My refurbished item no longer works after 2 years. But, here I am considering getting another!
Customer Rating: Summary: Never a Problem Comment: I've owned two of these routers (each in separate locations) and haven't had to touch them since the initial set-up. I tried other brands, such as Linksys and Cisco (before they stopped branding their own consumer products) and haven't had nearly the same level of success.
Customer Rating: Summary: Think twice, mac users Comment: For PC users, this baby works great.
For mac-only users, it's not that bad.
However, it really disappointed we bootcamp users...
Customer Rating: Summary: instructions lacking enough info Comment: I set up the wireless internet inside of 25 minutes. the only thing was it doesnt provide overview anywhere that i could find of set-up steps beside cd-rom. if the steps were delineated on paper aside from the cd-rom, it would make positioning the computer and the routers easier from a logistics/moving standpoint. instead, youre forced to follow along with cd-rom, meanwhile knee deep in cardboard, wrap, and saying "dammit."
i sent them an email about the improvements in instructions they need to make. but for the price its a good product.
Customer Rating: Summary: good product so far Comment: the product is good, and is working quite well so far. but the initial setup is a little complicated. the antenna's angle needs to be adjusted otherwise the signal won't reach excellence.
