The versatile Wireless-G Ethernet Bridge can make any wired Ethernet-equipped device a part of your wireless network. At home, use the Bridge to connect game consoles, set-top boxes, or computers to your Wireless-G network and its shared high-speed Internet connection. In the office, convert your Ethernet-wired printer, scanner, camera, notebook or desktop into a wireless networked device.

Customer Rating: Summary: Not a bad piece of equipment Comment: I bought this when I moved into my basement apartment to avoid having to run ethernet cable from one side of the 3 bedroom ranch to the other side of the house. So far I am very please with the performance of the bridge. I normally get over a connection rate over 90%, which is normally higher and more stable than the wireless PCI card in my Mac G4 Tower. The setup was a little troublesome as the booklet they include is next to useless, but there are some very simplistic directions to be found online. Currently the device is attached to an Xbox360 for online gaming and I am very happy with the results and performance over-all.
Customer Rating: Summary: defective and poor customer service Comment: I purchased this Linksys WET54 Bridge for my boat and it was defective out of the box. Linksys was a pain in the keester. I was on hold or referred to someone else for two hours until they finally determined that it was defective (typical made in China junk). They would not replace the item, and insisted their policy was to require me to pay the shipping for its return. I returned it to Amazon for a refund and Amazon paid for the shipping. I'll continue to do business with Amazon, but I've bought my last Linksys product.
Customer Rating: Summary: Can't Connect Comment: I have a WET11G that works wonderfully, but I needed to upgrade to get support for WPA2 security. Unfortunately the Linksys WET54G could only make momentary connections to my Linksys WAG160N wireless access point, making it completely useless. I returned it. Many people seem to have the same problem.
Customer Rating: Summary: All but one thing Comment: Works fine, unless you use a Hidden SSID as part of your security. This device can not deal with Hidden SSIDs, otherwise it is easy to setup and great. It took two calls to tech support for me to finally realize that when I stopped hiding my SSID that it worked fine, when I hid it again it stopped. Finally the tech said, yeah this does not work with hidden SSIDs.
So, if you don't care about hiding your SSID, it is a fine unit.
Customer Rating: Summary: Does Its Job Comment: I've had this plugged into a switch/hub for about a month to hook a PS3 and a TiVo into my WPA2 network. It's never dropped a download or any other issues. Would recommend.
