Comment: IF YOU ARE TIRED OF MESSING AROUND WITH A SMALL POPCORN POPPER THE WESTBEND CRAZY 8 IS WHAT YOU NEED. ALMOST EVERY KERNAL POPS, USES VERY LITTLE OIL, AND MAKES 8 QUARTS OF POPCORN. MY FAMILY OF 5 CAN EAT THIS AT ONE SETTING. WE USE TO HAVE TO MAKE TWO BATCHES, BUT NOW ONE IS PLENTY. THIS IS OUR 2ND POPPER, LASTS A COUPLE OF YEARS. WE USE IT ALMOST NIGHTLY.

Comment: We had one of these for years. It made perfect popcorn; we never a bad batch, using just a small amount of peanut oil. The larger size of the 8-quart is great if you are making popcorn for several people. With its straight sides and flat top, the inverted cover doubles as a server. When the heating element finally went, it was a no brainer to replace with one of the same. This larger size is nearly impossible to find in stores. It must be popular, because most web sites had it on back-order. Fortunately, Amazon came through

Comment: I got my corn popper and tried it out immediately. I have had several poppers, but this one seems to pop hotter and faster and more complete than any one I have ever had. So far so good and I know it will get a great work out from me.
