At the age of nine, Joseph Semprevivo was diagnosed with diabetes and by age 12, he created the first sugar free ice cream on the market. At 15 (1986) Joseph's Cookies and brownies were released into the mass market.

Comment: These cookies had very little flavor. I do like the fact that they are sugar-free and low in calories though. But in this case the trade off wasn't worth sacrificing flavor.

Comment: I first found Joseph's sugar free cookies and Brownies on a TV shopping station. I ordered them but didn't expect them to be good as I had always been disappointed in the sugar free products I'd bought. Boy what a surprise. All Joseph's sugar free cookies and their sugar free brownies are delicious. The brownies are moist and wonderfully deeply chocolate. They are small enough that you can eat a serving size of 8 which has only 95 calories. And these bites aren't thin little nothings. They are small, plump bites of delight. Their 8 piece serving is totally satisfying. They bring a nice diversion in watching your diet.
