Apart from looking really cool, bamboo cutting boards are the hottest thing to happen in kitchenware. Perfectly natural, bamboo is a new miraculous material for western civilization but among the oldest in the world. Structurally harder than Maple, Bamboo is a member of the grass family and doesn't need the care that most wood boards require. Bamboo boards are lightweight and can double as serving trays. The hard surface means fewer nicks and slices that harbor bacteria. Cooking can be fun and easy. A bamboo board is a kitchen tool that's an attractive, useful, complement to any kitchen.

Comment: I bought mine at a local store. I am pleased that I was able to handle this prior to buying. I passed it up on Amazon many tmes.
This is a well made board. It is a pleasure to cut on. I keep my knives sharp and this cutting board accentuates my VERY cool kitchen kutlery quite well.
I wash it off with a swipe of water and a cloth.
I, on irregular occasions, treat the wood with jojoba oil.
Keeps looking good and performs well.
I'd get one as a gift for a loved one.

Comment: By 'cutter', I mean something to cut things on. Anyway, this cutting board is what gets the job done. And it looks real nice in my kitchen, as it would in just about any kitchen as well, I imagine. The bamboo is a great idea, and delivers the cutting board that you need! Hey...if I were a person reading this review...I think I would buy it! Don't you?

Comment: Beautiful looking cutting board. Heavy compared to my old boards but I think that's the bamboo construction. If I had one complaint, it's a little smaller than I probably should have gotten (for heavy duty cooks who have a lot going on at the same time on their cutting board).

Comment: Once I got used to the weight of this board, it has become my "go to" cutting board. Construction is top of the line, no warping or splitting, cleans up in a snap. The fact that it is a beautiful Piece of equipment doesn't hurt either. I bought the "two fer" and all above applies to the smaller cutting board.
