Customer Rating: Summary: Good; however not great Comment: The product works well; however, I would hope other boots work better. I don't feel it puts the foot at a 90 degree angle. I use the 5 degree pad PLUS about two inches of rolled-up material under my toes to get a good stretch. They are right that you shouldn't walk much in this boot - it's fairly flimsy. Walking would ruin it pretty fast. The boot is also a bit narrow at my ankle. I put additional material around my ankle bone to keep it from developing a painful pressure point. A decent choice overall; however, not totally satisfied. Customer Rating: Summary: This really works! Comment: I suffer from Plantar Facistis occasionally. So when my heel started hurting, I knew what was coming.
I tried to do the stretching exercises before getting out of bed, but I still had pain upon arising. So I went online to Amazon to see what they had. I read the reviews and decided to try this.
Well, after a week I can say that this boot works! (I also use inserts and have been wearing better shoes as well.) But in the morning -- no pain upon walking.
Do pay attention to the comments about the sizes. It does run large. I wear a Woman's size 10 and ordered the medium. And even then it seems just a bit large.
It takes some time to get used to when sleeping, but hey, I can handle that better than the shots in the foot!
And, I don't take it off at night when I have to get up and so far it seems to be holding up quite nicely. Customer Rating: Summary: Good quality Comment: This splint is of good quality and is fairly comfortable. The challenge is that doesn't really keep the best position for me. I do agree with some other reviewers that noted that the sizes run a bit large. I had intended on buying the size the company noted, but I did go down a size. In fact, I could have gone down two sizes. My foot does turn and slip in the boot. I solved this by adding a bit of padding. While I think this split is more comfortable than others, it doesn't really keep a good stretch for me. I have also tried the "toe-pullers" without success. My new plan is to use this splint, incorporate exercises and wear my custom orthotics. I believe a combination is the best solution. Customer Rating: Summary: Swede-o Plantar Fasciitis Night Splint Comment: The night splint is of good qaulity. The problem is the sizing is way off. The directions say to go by your shoe size. Well I wear a size 11 shoe, so that would equal an extra large. Well the extra large was way to big. So I had to pay almost ten dollars to send it back for an exchange. I exchanged it for a large. The large is still a little bit big on my foot, but I am using it, as I don't want to exchange it again. I wish I would have gotten the medium size.
The problem with stuff like this is you really need to try it on. I wear a sock with it to make it fit better. Customer Rating: Summary: Size matters. Comment: Make sure you order a smaller size. It is so huge it twists and turns around. It is very soft and nice I just wish I read the reviews first and bought a smaller size.
