This disc has a white inkjet top surface, and a blue/green (cyanine) recording surface, with a maximum recording speed of 52x. It will work with Rimage Liberty, EZCD, Microboards Printfactory or Primera printers. Its packaged in 100 pc cake box/spindles, and in master cartons of 600 pcs. This product is not designed to work in a Rimage Everest printer. This product is not recommended for screen printing. About Taiyo Yuden Taiyo Yuden is the best combination of quality and price available in a blank disc today. The simple reason is there is no better combination of high quality and great price. Here?s a few things you need to know about Taiyo product: Taiyo Yuden made the first CD-R disc. They worked with Sony & Phillips as one of Japan?s largest chemical companies to make the dye which would store the data on the CD-R. Each disc is still made in Japan, in fact they are the only company in Japan that still makes CD-R, so if you see a ?Made in Japan? on any CD-R disc, be it an Sony, Fuji or Imation, you know its made by Taiyo Yuden.

Comment: I chose these because I was using them for CDs to sell. the cheap ones you buy at staples are not as dependable. I've been happy with these.
when i print on the CD itself, it looks good.

Comment: What an amazing difference these disks made for recorded music! Two other, less expensive, brands I've tried recently had dropouts, skips and oversaturated signals. With these Taiyo Yuden disks, the music records perfectly. I also like the white disks for writing on. I wish the white side had lines so I could write straighter, but I know that wouldn't work for people who print on them. Be careful with the cake box. It doesn't have positive stops for the locking tabs. It would be pretty easy to pick it up by the cover and have the bottom fall out.

Comment: The reason I purchased Taiyo Yuden discs is because the Plextor site has a list of "approved media," and T.Y. ranks very high in a number of categories. They show full 52X on Plex-Tools and Nero tests, so it's not just my imagination that they run fast and without error. The white surface offers a good background for marking artist's name and title with a Sharpie marker. Good discs.
