Summary: No Problems
Comment: I recently purchased a Belkin fire wire hub for my Imac. It works perfectly, no problems. I'm running four external hard drives, a film scanner, and a flat bed scanner with it.

Summary: Does the job, but not many items are firewire anymore
Comment: I use it for an external hard drive and a web cam, but some hard drives will insist on being hooked directly to the computer.

Comment: The Belkin Hub was just what I needed. My MacBook Pro just didn't have enough fire wire ports. The Belkin was VERY easy to set up and I have had NO problems with it.

Summary: underpowered
Comment: While it basically functions as it should, the hub seems to be slightly underpowered. I have just three devices plugged into it (two self-powered hard drives, and a Digi Mbox2Pro bus-powered audio interface), and it doesn't always recognize both drives. Also, sometime when I eject & turn off one of the drives, the audio interface disappears as well. As long as I don't change anything (i.e. turn off any drives), it works well.

Comment: My iMac only had one firewire port and, since I'm running a hard drive with it, I needed another port for use importing videos and stills through my firewire card reader. This does the trick nicely.
