Customer Rating: Summary: * Smells Good, Feels Good, Looks Good * Comment: I have this balm in grapefruit. No taste, but the smell is great. It really smells like grapefruit! ;) It has a light feel (not too greasy) and its glossy but doesn't make your lips shine to the point where you are sending out mayday signals like an emergency beacon. There are two things that I don't like about it: First, the wear is not so great -- I feel like I'm constantly reapplying it throughout the day... and Second, I don't like the thought of sticking my fingers in something I am putting on my lips. While I strive to keep my hands clean, surely there will be times when this balm might need to be applied and your finger tips might be less than cleansed! You'll be putting germs in your pot of gloss to sit and marinate then applying that gloss on your lips. Yuck. Then again, you could use a lip applicator ... but where would you put it after you're done? And I guess that goes against the whole purpose of having a pot of gloss/balm that can be applied quickly and on the go. See the dilemma?
If you're germ conscious you'll be changing this balm out every few months. It is a thicker gloss that looks as good on as it smells. The pear is a little too orange on for my taste. However, the grapefruit is the perfect shade of flushed lips. I highly recommend this gloss for those who hate the thin, runny glosses that don't last.
