Non stick coating makes clean up easy. The extra thick grids and generous spill trough keep overflows to a minimum. A cord wrap allows for easy storage without tangles. Made of die cast aluminum. The UNO Belgian Waffler, makes 7 1/2" round waffles that are 1 1/4" thick. 1000 watts of power. 7 setting browning control with on / off and ready light to let you know when the waffles are ready to eat.

Customer Rating: Summary: Nice Waffler Comment: So far, so good. Purchased this one as a replacement for another VillaWare Waffler that wasn't as sturdy. Makes great waffles (setting between 6 and 7 for me on the dial). Don't make waffles all of the time, but look forward to them when I do.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great product!! Comment: Product is high quality, well designed, easy to use and clean. Makes a perfect Belgian waffle everytime!! Booklet that comes with it gives suggestions on how to make a great waffle.
Customer Rating: Summary: Perfect Waffles Comment: Waffles came out perfect and easy clean-up. Just lightly spray with cooking oil before you start. Waffles easily pop out. Just wipe down excess oil and crumbs with towel to store. Crusteaze Belgian boxed mix tasted very good.
Customer Rating: Summary: Compact Size, Great Waffles Comment: We have a compact kitchen and don't like large countertop appliances. This waffle maker is a nice size and produces great Belgian Waffles quickly. It stores compactly and is easy to use. 1/2 of each waffle is a nice serving size. Other reviews mentioned an irritating chime that signals that the waffle is ready but we found the sound to be fine.
Customer Rating: Summary: Looks nice; hard to adjust temperature Comment: This is a well-built waffler. As other reviewers have mentioned, it is easy to clean, and the waffles release easily from the non-stick surface. I have not found the "ready" signal to be loud and bothersome as mentioned by some others. Maybe this is a newer version.
I would have given this appliance five stars but I continue to have trouble getting the temperature setting just right. At the highest setting the crust comes out very crisp, but the innards are a little under-baked--that is, the crust gets well done and the inside remains rare. When I use a lower setting the whole waffle is under-cooked. I have only used this waffler five or six times, so I need to gain more experience with it. Other wafflers I have owned have not been so hard to get used to.
In spite of the temperature setting issue, I would recommend this appliance to a friend.
