The Coleman 9192-160 Road Trip Beach Shade Shelter provides needed relief from a light rain or the sun during picnics, backyard events, or when camping. The powder-coated steel frame combines with a heavy-duty polyester canopy for a shade that works for almost any occasion. The Coleman Road Trip shelter is easy to set up with lightweight, shock-corded poles and can achieve stake-free stability with sandbags. The shade floor converts to a privacy wall when needed, and a rear window in this Beach Shade shelter allows for even more circulation.

Customer Rating: Summary: great for beach Comment: After you've put it together the first time, it gets quicker and easier. Nice shade and the zipper window allows for a pleasant breeze. Great for my 4 month old at the beach.
Customer Rating: Summary: It works Comment: It provides good protection from the sun. It's fairly stable even during windy days.
The assembly instruction is not very clear: the first time it took me almost 1/2 hour to assemble it. Otherwise, it takes 5-10 minutes.
Customer Rating: Summary: Nice shady spot for a baby's nap Comment: We purchased the Coleman Road Trip Beach Shelter for our Hilton Head vacation. It was easy to set up and take downs as it folds into a small pouch - stayed put in the wind and gave us plenty of protection from sun, wind and sand especially for naps for our 6 month old! It had plenty of room for a couple of adults, also. Highly recommended.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great beach tent but hard to get together in the wind Comment: This beach tent was really easy to put together when there was little to no wind. During a windy day at the beach, it really takes more than 1 person to put together because it catches the wind and wants to take off. Other than that it was great for the beach to keep my wife, baby, and I out of the sun. With the front open, 3-4 adults can lay inside easily. With the front closed, probably only 2 adults and a child can fit comfortably. Fabric and design seem to be high quality. For the price, it is a tough deal to beat!
Customer Rating: Summary: Truly Pleasurable Beach Experience Comment: Living in South Florida, the beachese are a part of life. With two little ones (2 and 5) and another on the way, the sun is a problem. This beach shelter is the solution.
First of all, I have to say this gets four stars instead of five for one simple reason-- the first time we tried this was a mess-- a comedic typical mess in retrospect but not a fun one on the hot sand under a hot sun with a 5 year old itching for the water and a 2 year old hating being on the sand and being hot. It also didn't help I was 8 months pregnant and my husband had to pretty much do it on his own with only guidance from me. I think the problem for us was we got confused between the window and the door. My husband got really frustrated and gave up on the thing. I calmly sat and looked the directions over, and played with the flapping fabric while he coated the kids in sunblock and realized our mistake. Once we figured that we had gotten things mixed up, it was up in about five minutes. And that is not an exagerration. The other mistake we made was we used the stakes instead of the sand bag method. Although the stakes worked for most of the tent, there was one corner that kept coming up and when I read through the instructions and saw the sand bag section, I fixed it and that was the end of that. Take down was really simple. The beach experience was awesome. My daughter and I spent most of the time in the comfy shade with the wind blowing through. I put up the wet clothes on the line inside, and hung up the bag with stuff in it. This shelter is a MUST even if you don't have little ones. It keeps your things out of sight, cool, and comfy. I am really glad we got it and that we stuck it out through the first attempt at set up.
