The best part is that it is also very durable. I have accidently run over the step stool 4 times and while that is probably not recommended, it has passed the test. The weight of the vehicle flattened the stool and caused it to come apart at the joints. However, I was able to easily put it back together and it works like new--it just has a few tire marks on it now. I have quite a small kitchen and have been looking forever to find a small stool that would fold up nice and thin enough to fit btwn my refrigerator and the space btwn the wall.
I finally found it! It is perfect! My 4-yr old can even put it together by himself. He totes it everywhere -- from the bathroom (which is almost as small as the stool), to the fridge, to the sink, to his bookshelves... the list goes on and on. He can now do things w/o having to ask Mommy all day long for help. Hurrah!
The only problem with that, though, is that now he can get into EVERYTHING. So keep that in mind as well. (ha ha)
But we love this stool. We have 2 of them and my mother, after visiting us, just bought 2 for her house.
