Roland Thai Style Sweet Chili Sauce from the Far East has a bright red color and possesses a hot, distinct chili flavor, tempered by a softening sweet after-taste. Best used at room temperature. Add to finished eggs, meat, or poultry. A great condiment for meat sandwiches. An Asian Favorite.

Customer Rating: Summary: Yummy Comment: I first had this sauce in Costa Rica. It was so good I bought 2 bottles to bring home. I finished one of the bottles before I even left Costa Rica and the second was taken away by airport security (it is a 5 oz. bottle). I found it on-line so now I can buy as much as I want. Yeah! It is the best.
Customer Rating: Summary: This sauce is a MUST TRY! Comment: We serve this sauce at the high-end cafe in which I work. I stumbled across it in the dry storage area after being curious as to whether it was a bottled product.
It is sweet, in fact I would say it is the least spicy thing you could have. There are things that have no spiciness in them at all, this is the lowest step above that. In fact, we serve it with coconut shrimp. When I first had it, I thought it tasted like the thick raspberry vinegrette dressing we served at another place I worked. We also mix it with hoisin sauce for some dishes.
Overall - I cannot recommend this enough! It is good on coconut shrimp, fried chicken tenders, chicken breasts, and with a little beef brisket (these are all ways I've tried it!).
As a bonus - it is actually HEALTHIER than the Heinz ketchup bottle it was sitting next to, go figure! (I read the nutritional info).
