Like MSR's Denali Classic snowshoes, the Denali Evo showshoes are modular, accepting tails for increased flotation, and feature steel traction blades for excellent grip. But they also include a stand-up binding for easier entry/exit as well as tapered tips and tails to help you walk with a more natural gait. The modular design of the Denali Evo allows you to add optional MSR Modular Flotation Tails to fine-tune your shoes for various snow conditions. MSR Denali Evo snowshoes provide plenty of flotation for users of nearly all weight ranges when snowshoeing on firm snow or established snowshoe trails. If you'll be snowshoeing in soft snow or soft snow deeper than 30 inches, you may want to add MSR Evo Flotation Tails for additional flotation. See the guidelines below for MSR's recommendations for your total weight (including your pack): 90-125 lbs: add 6 inch Evo tails for soft snow deeper than 30 inches 125-225 lbs: add 6 inch Evo tails for soft snow 225+ lbs: add 8 inch tails for soft snow less than 30 inches deep (these shoes may not provide enough flotation for users over 225 lbs. in soft snow deeper than 30 inches)
