Binding: Misc. Brand: Juniper Ridge Feature: These incenses are made with 100%, wild gathered leaves, wood and resins from the mountiains and deserts of the West. Ingredients: Ingredients: Douglas Fir, vegetable gum to hold plant material together, bamboo stick. Juniper Ridge incenses are the only incenses anywhere made with 100% real leaves, wood and resins from the mountains and deserts of the West. None of the added scents, colors, cheap punking material, oxidizers etc. found in other incenses - we list all of our ingredients because we have nothing to hide. Instead of being sweet and perfumey, these incenses smell much more natural and woodsy, like a campfire crackling in the mountain-air night. No potassium nitrate - potassium nitrate is a chemical burning aid found in virtually every incense out there except for ours. Editorial Reviews:

No tree is more deeply identified with the Pacific Northwest than Douglas Fir. When burned, it has a wonderfully cozy, woodsmoke scent that might remind you of that time you camped on the Oregon Coast underneath the moss bejeweled grandaddy trees, and the light scent of Douglas Fir campfires hung in the air as night settled in.

Customer Rating: Summary: Nice fireplace scent. Not cloying or overpowering. Comment: The Douglas Fir incense sticks are quite pleasant. I purchased them with the hope that they might make a nice "fireplace" scent to enhance the realism of my electric fireplace. They really did the trick. They have a nice, relatively subtle scent of evergreen trees and burning wood, and they don't have the sweet, choking, cloying scent of most incense.
