Summary: As if I'm not frustrated enough from sitting in rush hour traffic!
Comment: This device is nothing short of audio torture! From the second I plugged it in, I got nothing but static. After adjusting it and moving it around I was able to get it to the point where I could actually hear a little bit of music over the static...and then I realized that I was in a car and I would eventually have to move...so the whole reaching accross the interior of the car and holding my ipod on the very front corner while I balanced the other part on my knee was just not applicable to me actually operating a vehicle(who woulda thunk it?) After a few minutes I was so frustrated and tangled up in cords that I found myself wishing that this monster of a device was bio-degradable so I could throw it out the window! I obviously gave up on it after one or two tries...I would rather be up to my ears in cd's than ever have to deal with that thing again!!!

Summary: Great little FM transmitter
Comment: I bought this for my Ipod Video so that I can have something else to listen to if I get bored of the radio. I live in Seattle and drive a 98 Honda Civic.
Pros.
Even in Seattle, I was able to pick out a handful of stations that had nothing on for my commute. The signal is strong and it sounds like it is from a CD player. The volume is independent of the Ipod volume so you don't have to remember to turn the Ipod volume down after you use it in the car. The control is small enough to hide somewhere so that it is inconspicuous. Having it charge the Ipod in the process is a bonus as well.
Cons.
For me, usually to listen to music, I have to turn the car volume dial pretty high, enough that I have to remember to turn it down before switching to radio unless I want to hurt my ears. Sometimes the response time when switching presets it not as fast as I would like, but this is a minor detail. Also, the plugin for the Ipod does not feel as well made as the ones that come with the Ipod.
Overall, it's a great product that is not very expensive, and works great. If you're looking for a cheap but useful little device, and didn't want to spend money on a real in-car Ipod dock, this is for you.

Summary: Great gift
Comment: My girlfriend and I live in the Portland, Oregon area. Her car lacks a tape player or an aux input. This thing worked great for her, I sat there with her figuring out an ideal radio channel for at school in Corvallis, OR and back at home in Portland, with an empty station that has another empty station 0.1 after and before it. The audio worked very well and we couldn't really tell any lost of quality by using the FM Transmitter. She uses this now to drive back and forth and deeply enjoys her new music now. The presets aren't yet used but would make it ideal if we drive somewhere that needs another frequency.
And getting it for the price of $25 made this a really good purchase!
