Customer Rating: Summary: Fantastic VIDEO CARD FOR GAMERS for all AGP 8X PCI bus only People Put there Comment: This a fantastic bargain especially for those who are upgrades of machines and like to keep up. My basic criteria for this was the following:
1. I am only using my PC for gaming (recent Mac convert)
2. I don't want to spend good money for a new machine and want to leverage my existing Scorpio machine I spent on 2 years ago (of course upgraded things here and there)
3. 256 Video memory
4. direct x 9 support
5. Open GL
6. Relatively not that expensive
7. AGP 8X PCI bus only (my PC doesn't support the new PCI Express)
Did some research and found the closest upgrade would be a Nvidia Geforce DDR3 258 6600 GT. Now don't evenm ask how long it took for me to reach this. Since there is newer technology out there, I refused to be put down. So TigerDirect search paid off.
If your looking for the best value in older 8Xagp PCI only cards, it don't get better than this. SIMS work better and Star Wars is fantastic. Everything just looks far more vivd and clean. Prince of Perisa Rocks! And game play now is all maximized.
