It's solid, holds firm, and holds an edge well. Plenty of other places will charge you $70 for a knife of this same calliber, so this one is a real find. It had no vibrations when tapped on the ground which indicated a solidly welded guard. The rubber handle had good solid form, and the sheath is a standard nylon.
