-I love this portable speaker. I do not like a pair of separate speakers.
-Great sound. Remember it is not meant to be a bookshelf speaker, yet loud enough for its size.
-Perfect for bedroom.
-It automatically turns off when you flip it down.
-It is great to use with my laptop or ipod. Skype.
-Battery consumption is not too bad.
Cons:
-The battery cover is hard to open.
-It does not have USB connection.
-AA batteries would be prefereable instead of AAA. AA is cheaper and easier to find in the house.
-Diaphragm do not have any grills to protect it. If you have kids who love to poke around on things. It can easily be dented.

They sound best when positioned close to your ears and are playing at a comfortable volume level. Directly behind your head is the ideal position.
To get optimum sound from a particular song, you'll need to adjsut three things: 1. Sound Level - pick a volume that's no too loud or you'll hear distortion. 2. Expand Mode - Nice feature and for most songs makes the stereo effect wider. But above medium sound levels it will distort. Certain studio engineered music (Enya) will distort immediately. 3. Bass Boost - It's not on this unit but if your music player has it, put it on. Most songs sound better with it but it needs to be off for others.
