Customer Rating: Summary: It works! Comment: My cell phone reception has definitely improved; however, be ready to experiment a lot with placement of antenna and base unit. I almost gave up after crawling around in my attic for two days, but finally was able to get antenna and base unit placed in an area that provided better cell coverage through most of my 2,000 sq ft home.
Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent Product Comment: This product exceeded my expectations.
I had signal problem in a high rise building at 9th floor and did some research in internet if there is any existing solution and came across this product.
I put the antena in the window as its all glass door with no access to outside walls from window.
Before this product I had to stick myself to the window to use cell phone or use landline.
Now I have the luxury of talking on my cell phone while sitting on the sofa or on the bed.
Go to the manufacturers website before you purchase to pick the right type of product depending on your carrier and the frequency.
Some of the negative reviews here might be because of selecting the wrong frequency product. Installation is as easy as counting 1, 2, 3...
Customer Rating: Summary: Works for Me! Comment: I bought the Wi-Ex500 CEL. I use AT&T Wireless service. Had no signal bars on my phone in my house or on my driveway. We live in the mountains, and I could get two bars on my cell by walking 20 ft up the little hill behind my house. We installed the antenna in the attic area, ran the cable down into the house through a closet, then into my office. I now have a full 4 bars on my phone and can send and receive calls right in the house! Success!
Customer Rating: Summary: Have it professionaly installed and it works great. Comment: We just built a new steel building and we were getting no reception in our building (we use Verizon). We had to hand our heads outside our doors to get reception from our phone.
I ordered product and had it professionally installed ($60) and now we get full bars all over the building.
This has been a life saver and is worth double the price, just make sure to have it installed by a professional so that you know you will have it working right.
Customer Rating: Summary: Works Great in Chicago Condo Comment: I live down town Chicago in a 1,000 square foot condo. I only have 3 windows and I am on floor 3 of 21. When I moved into my new place, I realized quickly that my cell phone only worked in the living room (by the windows). My place is like a dungeon. Great for cooling / heating ... bad for cell phone chit chat.
I didn't want to order a land line so I started doing research on cell phone boosters. I came across this and took a risk. The reviews seemed great, but it was the bad reviews that scared me. Would this work in a condo (all reviewers described houses)?
I have a Verizon wireless phone, and this thing is AWESOME (been using for a week). It works great, AND COMPLETELY RECOMMEND! I went from only being able to talk in my living room to being able to talk anywhere in my condo. I am sure my neighbors love me now.
It is very very simple to set-up. And they give you a tone of coaxial cable that runs between the two antennas. The only issue is trying to figure out were to hide the stuff.
*** Please note that this will NOT create a signal for you. It takes an existing signal and spreads the love. So if you are in the boonies and have no signal, this thing will not work for you.
Most importantly, MAKE SURE YOUR PHONE IS COMPATIBLE!
