Comment: Very sturdy and perfect for the transition to a big bed. I have not traveled with it, but does have a travel bag that seems small. Covers almost the entire mattress with space enough on each side. I have no problem with the whole "not being able to make the bed perfectly" thing. I probably won't have this on long enough to care.

Summary: Easy to assemble, sturdy, and safe feeling
Comment: I am very pleased with this bed rail! Even though other reviews said it takes 2 people to assemble, I did it by myself and I'm 5 months pregnant. I put it up on our spare queen bed which my daughter has decided to move into, and I was still able to get the straps under the mattress without too much effort. I love that it is made of metal so it feels sturdy. My daughter even tried shaking it and it didn't budge. I also love that it's extra long! It pretty much covered the full length of the bed which makes me feel really secure that she won't find an opening and fall out. I have already recommended this to everyone I know so they don't waste their time buying a bed with tiny built-in rails. This is a must have, and I love that I can bring it with me on trips, too, if I need to.

Summary: Great product!
Comment: This bed rail was well worth the money. We purchased it for an extended vacation to use for our 25 month old little girl. We had just transferred her to her "big girl" bed a couple weeks prior to the trip. My husband had it set up at Grandma's house in about 15 minutes, without having the instructions, due to the fact that I left those at home in the box. So great product, it worked very well. I would just like to add though, that you may want to consider a second rail for hotel stays because most of those beds cannot be moved up against a wall.
