Customer Rating: Summary: Buy the clear version, all goggles will leak eventually Comment: I've used these goggle for about 4 months, swimming 3 times a week. They will not fog for the first 30 minutes generally. The rubber is very comfortable and easy to fit. Like all goggles, they eventually will fog if you keep swimming enough but these are a lot better than the $7 goggles I bought at my CVS. I bought the smoke colored goggles and although I'm happy with the way they fit and feel, I would much rather get the clear ones next time as the tint darkens everything like sunglasses which is pointless in hindsight when swimming in an indoor pool. Although I would say even with an outdoor pool, a clear view is better than a tinted view.
After removing the goggles for the first time to clear off the fog, you'll find that after every few laps or so, you'll have to repeat the process. This I have discovered is common in pretty much any pair of goggles you find but these last a little longer than other brands in that respect. This isn't the fault of the goggles themselves, just that as soon as you have broken the seal it's hard to get the same seal without fully drying out first.
There's nothing much more to say about these, as they're just swimming goggles and unless some new miracle material is discovered, all goggles will have the same problem. I do, however, highly recommend these even though they are a bit more expensive than other brands. It's well designed and has lasted longer than any other goggles I've used. There is a chemical smell when you first receive them but they go away after the first few uses or if you air them out for a while.
Lastly, I've also moved on to the Vanquisher series which for those who want the goggles to stay fog free for much longer might want to give a try. As these are considered recreational, the Vanquishers are competitive goggles which requires you to have a much tighter seal and although uncomfortable at first, you probably won't want to use another pair of goggles once you get used to it. On both goggles, unless you've *really* tightened things, they won't cause a ring around your eyes. Customer Rating: Summary: goggles Comment: I'm an avid swimmer and I tend to have a hard time finding goggles that do not leak. I've had a pair of these before and of all the one's I have owned, these are best. They do fog up some in the outdoors and high humidity but are relatively leak proof (unless you don't protect them from the sun or temperature extremes). They are very comfortable and for me, they did not dig into my cheeks or eyes as much as others I have used in the past. Customer Rating: Summary: Great product Comment: Fits real well. No leakage under water and the tinted glass is great for swimming laps Customer Rating: Summary: They are very comfortable and good looking Comment: I am not professional swimmer but I love my new goggles, they are very comfortable, they fit perfectly to my face and the only thing is that if you swim in the evening and the light is not good, they are very dark so you wont see properly Customer Rating: Summary: Great Goggles! Comment: I bought these to replace my 6 year old Speedo Goggles that were always fogging up after 2 laps. They never leaked, but the fog was annoying. I purchased the Sonar (clear) ones recently, and I'm very happy that I did. The build is good, clarity is superb, and best of all, it doesn't fog up at all.
Well, it fogged up a little initially after 10 laps, but when I let it breathe a bit, splashed some water in it, it stayed fog-free for the rest of my laps.
I had to adjust it a couple times so they were 100% leak-free, but it was also pretty comfortable after the rubber softened up a bit. I would highly recommend these to anyone who were looking for new goggles =)
