Customer Rating: Summary: Works great for dial up. Comment: For the price and if you are not on any high speed it workd great. was very easy to install and hook up.
Customer Rating: Summary: burnt out Comment: this was bought for a friend whose modem had been electrocuted. when she tried to load it through vista ... well, it was killed by vista.
sorry.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great modem Comment: This is a great modem worked with easy with Vista when no internal modem would. Does not take up any internal slots. Also no power supply needed. Going to buy an extra as a standby have had to many issues with internal modems with the wonderful windows xp and Vista OS's.
Customer Rating: Summary: Zoom Modem Comment: I added an internal modem to my computer and about a year later it stopped working. Put in a new one and had the same problem. I found out that my motherboard had blown the com ports somehow. My computer shop said I could put in a new motherboard but it would be different so I would have to reinstall everything. The other option was to get a UBS external modem. I just use the modem occasionally for faxing so I wanted the cheapest one that would work. This was cheap and works perfect.
Customer Rating: Summary: Umm, It's a modem Comment: Um, it's 2008 and we're talking about modems. This is more than sufficient for the user who bought that cheap scanner and wants to use the fax function without ripping open their case to install a modem. No lights, but a few test ATDT dials from hyperterminal and I don't think you'll ever revisit the modem.
For the price I obtained the product for, I am more than happy with the performance.
