Spotlight customer reviews:
Customer Rating: Summary: good looking but flimsy ..waste of money Comment: 1 Too thick to hold. The silicon/rubber grip is just unreasonably thick. If you like thick pens this is for you.
2 Questionable quality. The silicon/rubber breaks in relatively short time. The plastic clicker (or pusher on the top) comes lose after little use.
3.I wont buy again Customer Rating: Summary: Good value! Comment: I bought these on a whim...but they have a good grip and are easy to write with! Customer Rating: Summary: Finally, cheap pens that are actully good. Comment: I don't have to write much so on recent occasions I've just purchased the super cheap Bic ballpoint pens, you know, the standard white plastic ones with the blue caps. And guess what - they work as cheap as they... or should I say, don't work. If I'm lucky enough to get one to write, it's not smooth.
But now that I've found these Pentechs, took a chance a bought them, I'm surprised at the performance. I know this sounds ridiculous, but I am just surprised that they work, and work NICELY. Smooth ink, easy writing, and comfort, at $5 a dozen is a great deal.
Why only 4 stars? Well, they're obviously not "luxury pens", but definitely worth more than the $5 they cost and miles above the typical white plastic / blue cap crap we see on the shelf. Customer Rating: Summary: Stable and Reliable Comment: At my job I go through a lot of pens but I've found these Pentechs durable and consistent. I like the gels best but they have a tendency to skip which is something these models never do. Its ink is not thick but gets the job done. Also, pens appear to be getting more and more expensive but these ones have remained cheap. A good buy in my view. Customer Rating: Summary: poor design Comment: Most pens don't merit a review. They're pens. They work 'just fine.' They get ink on the page. I decided to take the time to offer a review on these particular pens, however, because they have failed the basic 'just fine' test. Its pretty simple technology, but for whatever reason, these pens get stuck in the 'open' position.
That's all there is to it: a pen that does not have the basic 'clickity-click' functionality is not worth purchasing.
