Customer Rating: Summary: Something is up here Comment: Watch out. The description (40mpbs/sec) does not match either the photo (which comes from a different seller but says 45mps/sec) or the model number (which is also a 45mpbs/sec card). Not sure which one you get if you order this.
Customer Rating: Summary: counterfeit sandisk extreme iv - beware! Comment: Clue #1 - seller doesn't even use a picture of his own product - this picture is from the site of a legitimate SanDisk retailer. (see BuyDig.com and the SanDisk website for verification)
Clue #2 - price. There's not one legitimate retailer on SanDisk's list of authorized retailers with prices anywhere near this low.
Clue #3 - a friend of mine made purchase - PCMCIA card check of memory revealed lesser quality branded memory; card had numerous errors when in use.
Customer Rating: Summary: fake sandisk Comment: fake sandisk. only 4GB with a lots of read/write errors.
after contact sandisk this product identified as fake sandisk.
Customer Rating: Summary: BEWARE Comment: Use your common sense people. There is NO WAY these are not counterfeit. Don't be stupid. They are one sale for $150, and these guys are selling them for $59?, I am all for a great deal, but this great deal is not for the buyer.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great speed and capacity if you need it Comment: Upgraded to this card from my Extreme III 4GB card as I started shooting with a new Canon body. The extra capacity and speed is valuable if you shoot a lot of RAW at high resolution and high speed, like sports. There's a noticeable difference between when I run out of buffer space with this card and its smaller/slower cousins.
On older cameras, make sure they can handle an 8GB card. Also, if you have a slow camera, it may not be able to take advantage of the extra speed, and an Extreme III for a lower price will perform just the same.
Of course, when you have such a large and fast card, make sure you have a reader that can keep up with it, or it will be a long wait at that end. I use the Extreme CF Firewire Reader and it downloads at 25MB/s once I figured out all the right connections (see my review for that product).
