The Stud 4 Sure is a stud finder that uses powerful rare earth magnets to pinpoint the exact location of screws or nails in a stud. The tool doesnt require batteries and never needs calibration. By keeping the tool free of moving or electronic parts, the Stud 4 Sure is easy to use and fits easily into any tool pouch.
Just place the stud finder on the wall and sweep in an "S" pattern to locate any metal fastener. The rare earth magnets are strong enough to allow Stud 4 Sure to hang hands-free on a wall, eliminating the need for pencil markings. The ergonomically designed, American made product is guaranteed to last a lifetime of being tossed, dropped, and banged around.

Customer Rating: Summary: It's great! Comment: My husband has always used the "tap and listen" method for finding studs-- checking for the difference in sound and then driving in a nail to see if he had found a stud. To say the least, it was a hit and miss and very time-consuming method. I searched for a electronic stud finder to give him as a Xmas present, but was discouraged by their negative reviews. Then I found the reviews for this stud finder, and was quite impressed. My husband has used it several times already and it is just amazing-- he waves it along the wall and within seconds it picks up the stud!! $11 might sound like a lot of money for a magnet, but believe me, this one is worth it,because apparently, not all magnets are created equal-- my sister bought one for around $5 that was the size of a plastic pencil sharpener that was supposed to find studs and she said it didn't find squat. BTW, my husband says not to store the magnet attached to or near metal or it will lose it's charge.
Customer Rating: Summary: This tool just rocks Comment: Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/RXHOU17Y6O6K9 Way better than my zircon electronic sensor. Very accurate, and I love the way it works. It's really just a high-powered magnet, but it gets the job done. Buy it, you won't regret it!
Customer Rating: Summary: A Building Contractor's Dream Comment: Simple, straightforward, and pretty much idiotproof, this little tool is a delight to use - not only because it works, but because it's actually *fun*! The tiny little magnets are amazingly strong, and can locate the nails or screws used to hold sheetrock or lath to studs every time. Once the stud is located, the tool can be left to hang magnetically from the fastener it found and act as a guide to locate the stud in the wall using the built in level vials. I used to hate trying to locate studs in walls - now I love it! An added bonus is that the tool is small, and won't fall out of your tool box, thanks to those magnets. Also, forget about finding your stud finder can't be sued because of a dead battery, since this doesn't use any. Only possible drawback is that the small size, coupled with the fact that it will hold against the wall while you work, means the chance that it'll get left behind or covered over by a cabinet being installed. No matter - these are inexpensive enough to lose and not cry over. Great idea, CH Hanson!!
Customer Rating: Summary: Magnetic Stud Finder, fantastic, it really works Comment: The best magnetic stud finder I was able to find and it really works to narrow in exactly where the wall or ceiling stud is hidden behind that sheet rock being held in place with either sheet rock nails or sheet rock screws. A really great product.
Customer Rating: Summary: It Works! Comment: Became fed up using electronic sensors that maybe found studs 50% of the time and tried this as a lark. It simply works. Threw both my Zircon and Stanley sensors in the garbage after they weren't able to find studs that this simple device found. If you have conventional walls you will find the nail heads or drywall screws everytime.
