Summary: Not sure, about the software. CABLE = Battery Charger. :-)
Comment: I installed the software, in Vista, and tried to use it as normal, and by using "Run As XP." Neither option allows me to update the software. I am a certified tech, but I grew tired of attempting to update the software. Reinstallation while online did not help. So far, it seems that the update feature does not work in Vista. The software was dead, in Linux WINE, and would not start (though I can run nearly anything else in WINE).
The software looks really cool, but has not been very functional, yet. Maybe it would be ok, in XP, but I was tired of messing with it.
However the CABLE recharges the battery, and could easily be used as a handy, easy to pack Battery Charger. Also, surely, photos and such could be accessed through the cable.
I would give this product a 3 star rating, but the battery charger capability of the USB cable is very handy.

Summary: Great software, works seamlessly with Moto Pebl
Comment: I'm speaking on a first impression of this software, since I have just received it, but it seems to be great tool to sync a Moto phone. This comes as a good surprise, as I'm used to MPT 3.0, which requires jumping through hoops just for the computer to recognize the phone. 4.0 is a sharp contrast, software instantly recognizes the type of phone, no need to find it on a list, and the software doesn't continuously "lose" a signal, like 3.0 would even if the phone is connected by cable. It seems to be able to sync the calendar and contacts well with Outlook. The media studio is great for syncing pictures, videos, and music, as well as editing and creating media for the phone. I would definitely recommend this software for anyone who wants an inexpensive and easy program to synchronize a Motorola phone to a computer.

Summary: Easy to Use, Great Product
Comment: This product was extremely easy to use and install. I have AT&T (Cingular) as my service and it worked fine since AT&T does not lock their phones/firmware. The version of the software did have to be updated in order for it to detect my phone, but the instructions that came with the software walked you through that process and everything worked fine after the upgrade.

after install you start the software then turn your phone off then on and the software recognizes your phone. Simple as that!!!
