Summary: Gourmet coffee?
Comment: I kind of figured it was too good to be true. This is labeled as gourmet coffee. I drink a lot of gourmet coffee and here in VT we have green mountain coffee roasters along with a slew of other terrific local gourmet coffees to choose from. As soon as I opened this bag of colombian coffee, I knew I was in trouble. It just didn't smell look good gourmet colombian coffee. It hardly smelled like coffee at all. The color was funny too, brown, but not the nice, rich brown color of GOOD coffee. But, I brewed some anyway to give it a shot before I judged it. Well, the first drink and I knew it was not what I had hoped for. It was very very bland and strange tasting. Nothing like colombian coffee should taste. So, my solution will be to blend this half and half with my really terrific regular colombian coffee and get a slightly reduced acid coffee, but with a much better taste. The good coffee flavor masks how bad this coffee is. If you are desparate for coffee and can't handle the acid, maybe this would be ok for you, but if you know what good coffee tastes like, I think you will be very disappointed in this strange tasting coffee.
