Summary: I've enjoyed several of them
Comment: I intended to use them to recover data from a dead system but then found these things to be so handy to use I bought more of them. I now have an external drive to back up each of my desk units and my laptop. I can not say I found anything to complain about. The fan is a feature that makes these things great to have around. I bought a large fast drive to use in an external and with these enclosures I don't have to worry about my drive getting cooked when it runs all day. If you have an old drive that you can still use or want to back up your data using a new faster drive this is a great way to go.

Summary: Nice for the price,but...
Comment: I like these units vary much. In fact, I bought 5 of them to make use of some old hard drives I had lying around. The stacking feature makes for a compact unit. I am using the fire wire, but the USB works just as well.
The units are compact, but I had no trouble mounting several various brands of drive. They come with all the hardware and cables for both USB, fire wire and power supply so take your pick. No running to the store for the extras...very nice.
The LED are cool, but very bright, so you may want to take this into consideration if you are putting them in your bedroom. They make one heck of a night light.
My only negative is the cooling fans. They can be noisy at times, but with a little work you can get them to quiet down. Don't turn the units off or you can start this process all over again. This seems to be a chronic problem with all electronics. Does anyone make a ball bearing fan that will hold up to 24 Hr a day use? It should also be noted that some drives a very noisy as well.
That said, yes I would buy them again.

Comment: Hard drive is quick and easy to put together, it is very compact, and heavy duty, although it is still light, I also like the fact it has fire and usb ports, so you have the best of both worlds, i have had no problems of over heating i have two of these already and will probably get two more.
