Provides a visual depiction of elapsed time. Set the red disk for up to 60 minutes. Then the disk gradually disappears as time elapses. (Young children may prefer the larger 8" version.)

Customer Rating: Summary: STAYING ON TASK Comment: I bought this timer to help me stay on task and it works great! I use it when I have class meetings in graduate school, cleaning the house, using the computer, or working on assignments. My husband is using it to study for a standarized test.
I would like to see the battery department designed differently and the audio could be a little louder. Overall a great idea that works!
Customer Rating: Summary: timer Comment: what a piece of junk. The sound doesn't work worth a darn. I'm very sorry I purchased this item.
Customer Rating: Summary: Functionally what I wanted - but Very Flimsy Comment: Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R2YPGV0F2W69LI There is both an alarmed (two quiet beep) and a non-alarmed version of this timer. I got the non-alarmed version since the "alarm" is so meaningless, but the review is pretty much the same for both. It is the only visual timer on the market, really, so if you want something of this style, you have to buy this one. It is great for glancing over and seeing immediately how much time you have left in a visual "pie chart" sort of way, without having to look for numbers or dots or anything else. That being said, this is VERY cheap and flimsy and you pay 4-5 times as much as you'd pay for any other timer. So I'm really looking forward to other people coming out with similar products that are higher quality and more reasonable in price.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good for time visualization for children Comment: At my son's kindergarten parent-teacher conference, we found out that our son had a hard time staying focussed on his school work. He was distracted by this other students and activities around him. We bought this clock for the teacher to set on his desk while doing his ABC worksheets to help him stay focused and have a visual idea of how much time he has left. It's working fairly well. However, it's not the most durable thing: 1.) if you drop it, the battery becomes dislodged and it doesn't work until you realize this and re-install the AA battery and 2.)the red part is a circle of thin red acetate, and if someone spins it all the way around past 59 minutes, it will come out of it's track and need to be tucked back in again. This clock is completely silent, no tick tick tick-ing. And the alarm is two very soft beeps, then it shuts off. I thought it was a little expensive for what you get, but there's not a lot of alternative products to choose from when trying to easily help a 5 year old visualize time. Since there is not really another competing brand for this type of clock, I would buy it again.
Customer Rating: Summary: Time timer Comment: This is a very useful tool we've been using with my 4 yr-old son with Autism. It helps greatly with transitions so he can see how much time he has left with an activity and when the time is up. As far as that goes, it's GREAT. I think it is expensive for the quality. It looks, in the picture, to be more durable than it is. The little face and the red timer part is just a plastic sheet. Not something you'd want a child to play with because it wouldn't take much to break it. Also, sometimes the battery slips and then it doesn't work. I have to make sure that the battery is always in place. Because it's been SO helpful, I gave it four stars, but it probably only deserves 3. That being said, it's been so helpful, I'd still buy it again...
