Summary: Lots of Fun Get Over It
Comment: MY 4 year old and all the kids in the neighborhood ranging in age from 3 to 10 LOVE moon sand. Everyone on my block ended up buying it for there kids. It is messy oh well. My son plays with it on our patio. I keep different color in different cheap tubberware and we also have the san box for the castle. It's way better than play doh which dries out way too fast and those dry little crumbs everywhere are irritating. People seem to only review this product badly because they don't like it or a little mess. I'm more concerned with my kid having fun and he helps clean up because he thinks that's fun too. We use all sorts of toys with the sand especially his small monster trucks and gold coins he buries for treasure. This is great for the imagination!

Summary: Moon Sand-messy, but fun for my 8 year old
Comment: My daughter saw an ad on TV, so we bought it for a Birthday present. It was one of the kits with the inflatable case and I think some molds. We have since gotten other molds and extra sand. The case is a good idea, but make sure the velcro is stuck together before carrying the case around, as some of the sand might come out. Also, some sand will inevitably end up on the floor when playing with it. It does tend to be a bit messy, but playing with it is fun. My daughter and friends have gotten creative and have used other molds, cookie cutters,etc..to play restaurant by making trays of pretend cookies, cakes. Summary: space sand from another planet
Comment: This product is very unique! I bought some for my 3-year-old son, and so far, I've had as much fun with it as he has. It has high potential for creativity, and is unlike anything you've ever played with before. The colors are vibrant, and the texture is one-of-a-kind. Several people have reviewed this as being too messy, but as the product title states, it's sand! Sand is pretty messy if you just hand a pail of it to your kid and don't watch them. If used on a table or tray under supervision, you should not find it very difficult to clean up. Great fun!

Summary: Horrible mess!!
Comment: I just bought this for my 11 year old daughter and as soon as we opened it it allready made a mess. Says on the box "Never dries out", who are they kidding? It's dried out as soon as you open the container, little sand bits were everywhere. We squished it to form its shape, which it did, but it still crumbles in your hand and gets all over the place.
I thought of adding water to it or something to try and keep it together, but this stuff is garbage, and thats where it ended up.
Dont waste your money, buy Play Dough or good old fashioned Clay.
Moon sand, they should ship this stuff to the moon because it has no place here on earth.

Summary: messy !
Comment: This 'sand' is fun for a few minutes until it gets everywhere! It's not very easy to clean up once your kids accidentally sit on some of it or it gets stepped on. We had to move it outside, where it also got stepped on and is now pressed into the concrete on the back porch. It won't broom up either.
The set is too small for 2 kids to play with it very well. Also, I think 5 years old and up might work out better than the suggested 3 yrs. My kids are 3 1/2 and 20 months. We have a 'real sand' table that has been great, and is so much easier to clean up.
