Summary: Like a glove
Comment: Actually the Epson P5000 fits perfectly and I would assume so does the P3000. Trying it in a store may not indicate this because the PV "takes on" the shape of the P5000 after a few minutes; once you take time to push the corners into place and zip it several times. After this there is no strain on the case and because of the design (liners,etc.) no damaging pressure on the P5000. Also the design gives the USB cable plenty of storage/transport room. As with all the AW products the "rain fly" is minimal but not advertised as a Pelican Case.

Summary: nice case, but...
Comment: It is a nice case, well built. However it does not fit the Epson P-5000 or P-3000 very well. It's a tight fit with barely enough room for the Epson's USB cable. If it was 1/2 or 1/4 inch taller and little deeper the Epson would have fit much better.
