Comment: HP-56 black ink cartridges are the "most" economical cartridges on the market for ink jet printers. Twin pack with free shipping is the best price available. I have not tried generic brands, since I've had negative experiences with them in the past.

Comment: I've tried many different generic brands of ink and none work as well as the genuine HP product. Holds up a long time, doesn't smudge as much as generic, high quality and worth the extra money in my opinion.

Comment: I used a refill kit before buying this set and then when the old cartridge could not refill, I bought these and I don't have to worry if they will work after a refill and waste my money on a refill kit that no longer works. Highly recommend it.

Comment: I tried using one of those reinked cartridge suppliers, but I had to throw away two of the cartridges because they either leaked or the colors were off. I am very happy with the Hewlett-Packard ink cartidges, the price I paid and the speed of service.
