Summary: Smooth as Plug'N Play
Comment: I thought I would replace my older single core processor, at the same time, I was upgrading my Mother Board and Memory!
The processor was delivered in a timely manner with no damages or needed returns.
I had an unexpected problem with the mother board and had to install everything without the DVD drive, normally used for installing all the drivers.
When I booted it up for the first time, after a lenghy pause, and entering the Key, everything ran as smooth as Pug'N Play.
I downloaded all the newest drivers plus, newer software, I would have found on the DVD install disc, from the manufactures web site!
I would re-order computer parts from Amazon in the future.

Summary: Faster than 3600
Comment: I upgraded my 64x2 3600 2.0 mhz to this processor,it is quite a bit faster than the 3600,took Vista experience on processor from a 4.0 to a 4.9,I then added a Radeon HD4850 graphics card and the experience level went to 5.0. processor speed.It all makes a difference.

Summary: Wrong product shipped, No refunds
Comment: Tiger Direct shows the picture and describes the older Socket 939 version of this Athlon 64 X2 processor, but it is not what is shipped. What you actually get is the newer Socket AM2 version of the same CPU. It will not fit in a Socket 939 because it has one or two additional pins which prevent it from going in. If you are looking for the X2 4400+ for Socket AM2, buy this but verify that your motherboard supports it - Tiger will not accept a return of CPU. The price is great for what you receive. This is also the 65W (lower power) version which saves energy.

Comment: This is a very good processor you can buy, it works very quiet. Works faster than I think and I install first with Windows XP, but the computer run to fast, so I install Windows Vista and its the same, works very fast.

Summary: Powerful CPU - Good Price
Comment: Truly a good CPU, I've bought two of these over the last 6 months, one for myself and another to rebuild a machine for a friend of mine and they perform extremely well with the following specs -
2 GB RAM
750 GB SATA II Segate Hard Drive
Nforce 6 Chipset Mainboard
256 MB Nvidia 7600GT (an oldie, but a goodie!)
16x LiteON DVD-RW drive
I use the stock cooler, never had any problems with overheating. Both my friend and I are Warcraft III fans and this CPU does a good job of handing the bigger battles without the lag we'd see with our older CPU's.
