It swivels in a complete 360 degree circle, and it is equipped with a pneumatic gas lift, so you can raise and lower the chair with a simple pull of a lever. Comment: I got this chair for my 18 year old granddaughter and she assembled it while she was watching t.v. She is very proud of the fact that she put the chair together by herself and that is the first thing that she says when showing off her new chair. She says it is comfortable to sit in and it looks great in front of her computer. I highly recommend this product.
