The CWD-854 is a USB2.0 Wireless Dongle capable of transferring data rates up to 54Mbps, giving you the ability to connect to a wireless network at home, at the office or at any wireless hotspot. Now, you can stay connected wherever you are and wherever you go. Once you're connected, you can keep in touch with your e-mail; access the Internet, use instant messaging to chat with friends, and share files and other resources such as printers and network storage with other computers on the network.

Customer Rating: Summary: Worked for only a few hours... Comment: I purchased this product for use with my desktop computer (which does not include a wireless card, obviously).
It worked for a couple of hours, as advertised. But it stopped working after the first time the computer was turned off/restarted. The computer would recognize the USB adapter as being plugged in, but the adapter itself refused to recognize any wireless networks in range.
Uninstall and re-install did nothing.
Quick-install instructions are adequate, but the user guide and included software are in broken English and full of typos. The product looks cheap, feels cheap, and was unreliable. Returned for a full refund.
Very disappointed.
Customer Rating: Summary: Very Good Comment: So far so good, its working fine with an old laptop with Win XP.
Only issue I have is that, if you unplug and plug it back in when the computer is on it stops working. Could be a XP issue.
Customer Rating: Summary: A good wireless adapter Comment: It works well and is easy to install. Windows XP sometimes doesn't recognize the device after startup unless it's unplugged and then replugged again; but I think this is a problem more with Windows than with the device or the software that comes with it.
Customer Rating: Summary: Really satisfied Comment: Yap, I am really satisfied with this Wifi-Stick. The coverage with it is really well and it works flawlessly with WinXP & 2000, while you can either use the Windows Wifi-Managing-Software or install the custom CNET one. (Again I tried both, works both nice, though I go for the Windows-included software since I don't need the CNET-Stuff...)
The only downside I see is that it's a little bigger than other sticks I've seen, but I don't really care about that, since they're used for kind of stational laptops ;-)...
Full recommendation, especially at that price!
Customer Rating: Summary: Worked for a couple of days... Comment: i was very happy when i got it being that most other wifi adapters cost twice this much. it worked right after i installed the drivers from the cd that came in the box. after 2 or 3 days it just stopped working. this is more likely a software issue than the hardware because it was solved with a system restore. but behold the next day when it wouldn't connect. i did another restore and it worked but after another day i realized that it was just unusable.
