The correct EST (Eastern Standard Time) has been preset at the factory, so just plug the clock in and adjust the time zone as necessary. In the case of a power interruption, the built-in Lithium battery maintains the correct time so you don't have to re-set the clock. When Daylight Savings Time changes take place in the spring and fall each year, there is no need to adjust the clock because the built-in calendar recognizes the dates and automatically makes the proper time adjustments. Dual Alarms with Alarm Indicator permits two separate wake-up times with individual wake-up settings and confirms that the alarm has been activated to turn on at the pre-set time. Choose your own snooze time instead of being held captive by the short time intervals of other snooze times. Summary: Good basic alarm clock
Comment: This does what it's supposed to and the price is right. I got it for my daughter's room. The controls are a bit small and difficult to read. But hey, it does the job for not a lot of money. I'm in the next room and it wakes me up every morning; the radio is very loud. She, however, sleeps right through it. I think that's because she isn't very excited about going to school in the morning.

Comment: Aesthetically or structurally there's nothing wrong the the clock. It looks neat, has plenty of options and the duel alarm function is great. However, if you are a heavy sleeper and prefer the ear-screeching repetitive tone of the alarm to wake you up, you may be out of luck. I like to place my alarm clock downstairs, thus assuring that I will get out of bed to turn off the alarm without being tempted to hit the snooze. Unfortunately, the tone signal is so weak, I cannot count on the alarm to wake me up. I will say that the if you set the alarm to the radio function, you will have a much louder awakening. But if you prefer the lifeless beeping of the alarm rather then the annoying chatty voices of morning radio announcers, you should find another clock.

Comment: There is absolutely no reason not to buy this clock radio. It is attractive and extrememly easy to use. Plug it in , set the alarm time and it's ready to go. Easiest set up we've ever had to do. When the power went out it stayed timely since it has a battery back-up which works. Buy this clock!

Comment: After reading some of the reviews, I almost didn't buy this, BUT, it's perfect.
It has 3 levels of brightness, adjustable alarm volumes, and lots of other features not found in most alarm clocks and a nice small size.
