The SiliconeZone Grid Potholders features patent pending InSilate technology. The unique manufacturing process combined with the 2 sided waffle grid design gives the potholder a cloth like feel. The potholder conforms to your hand and to the item being gripped for a substantially better grip. The Grid's unique design offers the best heat protection of any silicone pot holder by diffusing the heat before it reaches the users hand. Made with FDA approved pure food grade silicone: Dishwasher safe; 7x 7 inches square

Customer Rating: Summary: functional Comment: This is a great item. It works well for holding hot handles, lids, opening jars, protecting countertops from hot cookware. It is very versitile. The sales price was better than the normal one and free shipping was good too.
Customer Rating: Summary: Works As Advertised for Me Comment: Hmm, I just got a pair of these, and they protect my hands from the heat of a pot of boiling spaghetti water as I lift, move, and drain it into a colander, and a single Grid protects my hand when I lift the metal top of the pot.
So -- I'm not sure why another reviewer had a problem with these, unless they slipped out of position.
I haven't had that problem. The grid pattern seems to allow sufficient grip, and the pliable silicone material conforms to the shape of the handle you're holding.
And no, I haven't felt any heat coming through from the pot handles. The manufacturer claims these will withstand temperatures of up to 675 degrees Fahrenheit, but I can neither confirm or deny that.
The only thing I miss here is a magnet built in to affix these to my fridge door. Fortunately, I found a magnetized rack with hooks that fit the hole in these Grids, and that solved the problem.
Otherwise these are good-looking and easy to keep clean. I like them better than traditional potholders.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great multipurpose pads Comment: These are great. They work as hot pads and as trivets. You must avoid gripping these pads with your fingertips when moving very hot items--your fingertips will push into the depressions and you can get toasty fingertips. But if you are mindful of this issue, they're great. They also work well to help gripping slippery jar lids.
Customer Rating: Summary: Save your money! Comment: These are VERY pliable and soft, which is a HUGE improvement over the stiff other silicone products normally found on the market, but they do NOT stop you from getting burnt on hot pans! You may be able to sit a 600 degree item on top of it, but you can't even transfer a 350 degree pan from the oven without getting your fingers burned. I was disgusted because I had thrown out all of my cloth potholders after receiving these. They are NOT what they claim to be! I am sorry that I bought a set for my mother as well. She has nerve damage in her hands and cannot feel temperature changes. Now I am terrified she will get some nasty burns without noticing.
