Summary: Very nice monitor
Comment: I purchased this monitor to replace an old 17" CRT unit. It has performed flawlessly for the entire time i've been using it. Very vibrant colors, easy to distinguish shades of colors, all around nice item. I didn't hook up the speakers as i've got other external speakers, so I can't say how the internal speakers sound. It's a good unit for the money.

Summary: Great LCD monitor for the price!
Comment: I needed a 19 inch monitor for my new HP Vista computer and I preferred the Compaq over the HP monitor with the better design and the speaker layout. Overall, good quality and excellent color definition with the 1440 x 900 resolution. I use a Viewsonic 19 inch monitor as a second monitor and I can't tell any noticeable differences. The Viewsonic reacts slightly faster, but overall the I like the Compaq and use it as my primary monitor. I create movies besides other slide presentations and the Compaq monitor looks as vivid and quick as the ViewSonic monitor.
Even TV programs look great on the Compaq monitor and reacts quickly with excellent definition to fast moving scenes using the analog TV tuner. I haven't tried using the digital TV tuner as I don't have a digital signal yet. Overall great quality for the price, but I suspect the LCD monitors will drop in price as digital TV and Internet TV become more popular.

Comment: The picture is clear and crisp. It has nice adjustment features. The sound from the speakers is excellent!!! I would suggest this monitor to anyone and everyone!!!!

Summary: Not VESA
Comment: They say this monitor is VESA compatible...it is not. HOW THE HECK ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO MOUNT THIS WHEN IT ONLY HAS TWO HOLES!!! You remove the base and now there are 5 holes and they DO NOT line up with VESA standards !

Summary: Looks great, but hurts my eyes
Comment: Ok, so I just bought this monitor to replace a 15" LCD monitor.
I first hooked it up through the analog input and ran the auto-calibration. First thing I noticed was 'wow, this looks great.' Second thing I noticed was that it hurt my eyes and head. I had a headache after 3 minutes of using it. Even after I stop looking at it, my eyes hurt. I tried DVI cable through the DVI input, and it was the same. No wonder there aren't many reviews on this monitor, it never got popular because it hurts peoples eyes.
I think I"m going to go with my fallback, a Viewsonic.
