This quality pizza peel can be used to lift and move, cut, and serve your favourite pizza. The peel is light to work with, easy to store, and will not harbour bacteria. A beveled edge makes it easy to slide the peel under the pizza crust. The peel is made from an environmentally friendly natural wood fibre composite, used by chefs and commercial kitchens for over 40 years. The peel's surface can be used as a cutting board -- it won't dull knives -- and is extremely durable and will not stain; it is dishwasher safe and heat resistant to 350°F. As well, the non-porous surface prevents the growth of bacteria and unwanted food odours.

Summary: The moon in the sky like a big pizza pie...
Comment: This pizza peel is awesome. Dishwasher safe, scratch resistant and very pretty to look at not to mention no oiling. We make alot of home made pizza and prior to the peel it was a real pain getting it to the hot stone. With this puppy and some cornmeal it is smooth sailing. Highly recommened, worth the money.

Comment: This is a good quality made in the USA product, worth the extra dollars for investment. My only problem was that I overestimated the size that I would need and this one is a little larger than what I should have bought. Great materials, easy clean and lightweight!

Summary: Just what I needed
Comment: I had recently acquired a pizza stone to make pizzas from scratch at home. This pizza peel made the whole process vastly easier. Following instructions, I prepared the pizza crust on the peel and then slid the pizza onto the preheated stone when I had all of the toppings set up the way I wanted. I used a tablespoon of canola oil and two tablespoons of corn meal on the peel before I put the dough on, and also put cornmeal on the stone before the dough went on there. Then when the pizza was done, I used the peal again to lift the triumphant concoction out of the oven. It works like a big spatula. Delivery was prompt from the supplier.

Comment: I also chose this because it is dishwasher safe. It is composed of a fascinating, sturdy material. I chose the slate grey & it looks perfect. Lightweight, easy to use & an excellent size, I would get this as a gift for others who make pizza at home. I don't know about cutting on it- I wouldn't want to scratch it up & mar the surface-it's that nice!
