Customer Rating: Summary: Great effects, All my friends loved it. Comment: I take it to college parties all the time, and everyone is amazed when I turn it on. I mix this effect with a fog machine. You'll see all of the lasers when you mix it with fog. Or if your not the party type it's relaxing to have in your room. If your being romantic, or if you have a baby/child. They will like it, my 3 year old nephew loves it. He keeps saying "show me something cool" because I always buy good products. This is one of them.
Customer Rating: Summary: Laser Star Projector Comment: This laser star projector is the coolest! If you are considering this product-BUY IT! You will not be disapointed. It is not a toy. There is no educational value. It is pure enjoyment...pure entertainement! I purchased the product for special effects for my daughter's birthday party. It is also her present. She will use it as a nightlight in her bedroom, and likely take it with her to college! The children and the adults at the party enjoyed the experience of a private galaxy very much. Well made and easy to use. Just plug it in and enjoy.
This produce could only be improved by adding a timer and remote control dimmer.
Customer Rating: Summary: Fills your room but no realistic Comment: We bought this for my daughter (5). Her room has a vaulted ceiling and is 15X16.
Likes:
1. The field of stars covers the entire ceiling.
2. The blue nebula is adjustable, so you can turn it on/off or adjust the brightness.
3. The green blue combo is nice. She loves the colors and seems to help her go to sleep quicker.
Dislikes:
1. Green stars? Wish it was white.
2. Not realistic. No Astronomical worth.
3. The stars move. Looks like cells under a microscope or Dust in the sunlight. Only a few are actually stationary.
My daughter loves it. It might be nice for a party. For astronomers it's worthless. Definately a "little kids toy". Dont buy this is your kid is studying the stars.
Customer Rating: Summary: Sweet Optics Comment: This gadget is awesome. Hours of wasted time spent looking at the pretty lights on the walls. Or perhaps the deep inner working of our galaxy. Either way its fun and my friends like it. (which isn't sayin much)
Customer Rating: Summary: Two units broke in one month, but beautiful! Comment: I purchased mine from another store. Each unit sat untouched on the dresser and were not handled aside from off/on switch. Both the first unit and replacement unit broke within 2-3 weeks. Fan becomes loud and have to knock on it to quite it down until it eventually just stays in a loud whirring mode. Second unit began loud whirring and green laser/stars stopped functioning altogether (even with the love tap). I have opted not to take my chances again! It WAS beautiful, though...daughter loved it at bedtime, you could stare at it for hours and never quite see the same pattern. Very dreamy! But even at $150 (I paid $180) with such a VERY poor track record, I don't recommend it!
